1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Home Scent website and your purchase of any products from it. By browsing this site or placing an order you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to place an order.
3. Products, descriptions and pricing
We work to describe our products and display their images as accurately as possible. Colours may vary slightly between screens. All prices are shown in US dollars and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to cancel and refund any order placed at an incorrect price.
4. Product availability
All orders are subject to availability. If an item becomes unavailable after you order it, we will contact you and refund you in full.
5. Orders and payment
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline any order, and may cancel an order we reasonably believe to be fraudulent or placed for resale. Payment is taken at checkout and processed by Shopify Payments and other third-party providers; we do not store your full card details.
6. Shipping and risk of loss
Delivery timeframes are set out in our Shipping Policy and are estimates rather than guarantees. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier delivers the order to the address you provided.
7. Returns and refunds
Returns and refunds are governed by our Refund & Returns Policy, which forms part of these terms.
8. Safe use of our products
Essential oils and diffusers are intended for household aromatic use only. They are not medicines and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Keep oils away from children and pets, do not ingest them, and consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant, nursing, or have a respiratory condition. Always follow the instructions supplied with your diffuser.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this site — text, images, logos, layout and design — is owned by Home Scent or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused commercially without our written consent.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site for any unlawful purpose, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, to interfere with its operation, or to submit false or misleading information.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
Except where a warranty cannot be excluded by law, the site and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Home Scent against claims arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the site.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
15. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you order is the version that applies to your order.
